We are excited to have you join us for our
Camp Harlam Retreat, November 15 to 16, 2024.
Thanks to our Challenge Fund, to which many of you donated, we are able to partly subsidize the cost of this retreat.
Housing for adults will be in private rooms, at
$72 per room.
Children will be housed either in your room (with a separate bed for your child); in a room next to or across from yours; or, for children 2nd grade and older, in a collective living space (like a camp cabin), with the supervision in that space, of our weekend counselors. It is up to you which of these options you select for your children. Children attending the retreat will register at the rate of
$36 for each child.
If you would like to attend this retreat, and the cost is not affordable for you, please let us know. We have money available to make this event possible for all members of our community.
The retreat programming at
Camp Harlam will run from around 6 pm on Friday until around 6 pm on Saturday. Transportation is up to each family--the drive is about an hour and a half to 2 hours (depending on traffic). We recommend carpooling, if possible.
Registration for this retreat includes: all meals, programming, housing, staffing, and use of the camp's beautiful outdoor space. Some of our time will be programmed--with everyone, with kids and adults participating in different activities, and with some choices of activities.
Our time together will include: Shabbat Services, a Smores Oneg Shabbat (Smoneg? Smoreneg?), Adult Hang Out at the Fire Pit after the kiddos go to bed (beer, wine, and soda will be provided), gaga, an obstacle course, learning and exploration, and plenty of time to socialize.
If you have any questions or special requests, please be in touch with Rabbi Elisa Koppel at the synagogue,
EKoppel@bdavid.org or at
610 642-5406. We will do our best to accommodate requests and are happy to answer any and all questions.
Can't wait to spend time at camp with you November 15 - 16!
This form is due by November 1.
